Porto and Fatima

Day 1: USA- Lisbon.
Transatlantic flight via TAP Air Portugal TP #104 departing from Newark at 6:15 pm. Breakfast and dinner served on board.

Day 2: Lisbon.
Arrival in Lisbon at 6:05 am. Greetings from our representative and transfer to the hotel Turin (www.hotelturimlisboa.com). The rest of the morning at leisure. Afternoon city tour of Lisbon. You will visit St. Geronimo’s Monastery, Belem Tower, Monument of Discovery, and Alfama quarter with its narrow streets with steep stairs.

Day 3: Lisbon – Sintra.
Free day for shopping or individual exploring this beautiful city or optional excursion to Sintra Royal Palace built in 15th Century for the Portuguese Court as summer residence. Continue to Estoril, Cascais and its colorful bay, a fishing village and stop at Cabo da Roca – the westernmost point of continental Europe. Dinner and overnight in Lisbon.

After breakfast departure to Fatima, visit Aljustrel, Valinhos, Cova da Ira, Basilica, Capel of Apparitions, and the Miracle Fountain.  Late in the afternoon arrive in Coimbra, Portugal's capital in the 12th century. Dinner and overnight at hotel Tryp in Coimbra ( www.solmelia.com).

Day 5: Porto.
After breakfast a morning sightseeing tour of Coimbra with a visit to one of the world's oldest university with the spendid library and chapel, Roman excavation of the Roman old town of Coimbriga where the museum exhibits beautiful tiles and mosaics.  Afternoon drive to city of Porto, Portugal’s second largest city UNESCO World Heritage Site, home of famous Porto wines.

You will see preserved its architectonic treasures including monuments (palaces and churches made in the local granite stone) in Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque and Neoclassic styles. Afternoon is free for shopping or take a optional cruise on the Douro river. Dinner and overnight at hotel Vila Gale in Porto www.vilagale.pt.

Day 6: Porto –
After breakfast free time for shopping or take a optional cruise on the Douro river.  Farewell dinner in a local restaurant.with Folklore Show.


Fatima

Day 7: Porto –  USA .
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your return flight to Newark with arrival at 1:35 pm.
