Princess Cruises' powerful online booking engine, POLAR Online, has added the industry's first online tool to manage group amenities. Whether agents want to present their clients with a delicious plate of chocolate-covered strawberries, host a group cocktail party or offer guests an onboard credit, they can now easily add Princess' most popular amenities with a few key strokes as they create or manage their groups on POLAR Online, the reservation system supporting Princess and Cunard. "We know that agents appreciate being able to do as much of their business as possible online, and that's why the advanced features on POLAR Online make it such a popular booking tool," said Jan Swartz, Princess senior vice president of sales and customer service. "With this new addition, not only can agents set up and manage groups online, but now can also quickly use their amenity points to customize their group." Group amenity points are given on virtually all voyages. These points enable agents to choose from a number of options to enrich the group offer by promoting extra incentives such as stateroom upgrades, shipboard credits, gifts to passengers, or events such as an onboard cocktail party.
