Over the past 48 hours we have had hundreds of pledges of support and cash assistance. We have had one corporate pledge of £10,000 and at least as much again from old passengers and other concerned people.

We have set up a webpage online at www.pandaw.com. You can go online with a credit card and make a donation with a visa or mastercard. For larger donations let me know and I will advise bank details. Funds thus raised will be transferred to our bank in Burma and can be used to support our relief operation.

We have Pandaw IV on standby at Prome (Pyay) and our team are currently preparing her to send to the Delta area to offer assistance. We have a water treatment plant on board so can make drinking water.

We are seeking an NGO partner to provide medical and other relief services that can operate from the platform of our ships. We also have a number of Burmese volunteer doctors and professionals who will join with the ship to offer assistance. If you can help in anyway please let me know.

Pandaw will supply marine and logistical support but we need donations to cover fuel and operating costs in addition to medical and other supplies. Fuel costs are now over $12 per gallon and going up by the minute.

As the death toll tops 22,000 and the number of homeless and displaced people incalculable the need for assistance becomes more and more pressing.

Thank you for your support.
